This week a quick popup show at Art at Marks Garage in Chinatown Honolulu is a nice break from all the ‘must do’ lists of activities. I have 4 pieces for sale along with some printed materials for stocking stuffer hunters.
What I like about AHA is the variety of media everyone works in, and the breadth of subject matter from portraits of Princess Kai’ulani by Ed Harnaas to smash acryllic abstracts by MaryAnne Long or finely painted studies by Linh Tang. It is much more refreshing to spend 20 minutes there than taking a cup of oversugared Starbucks for a little break.
It is only up till this Wednesday before the next Christmas show moves in by Hawaii Watercolor Society. Yes, I will have a few pieces in there too. 🙂 I’ll be hanging out at the gallery this Wednesday after lunch until they take down the show at the end of the day.
